EVALUTION UNIT2
Narrative Structure
Opening: I HATE MONDAYS (Character is angry)
Climax: Character has partied hard on saturday and is having fun after a long week.
Closed: In pain from partying hard pior and is suffering the consequences.
Cause and effect:
Cause is that she suffered/ struggle throughout the weekday and couldn't wait till the weekend, the weekend came and she went wild and the effect it had was that she cut her hair while she was intoxicated and suffered on Sunday.
Image construction:
The character pretty much stayed in the same place through the manga but I just changed her facial expressions to her current mood and situation. I thought the facial expressions would tell the story better than movement. I also kept my character colour the same throughtout, the only colour i added was her hair and eyes because I thought this would be more interesting; The colour of her hair was yellow and eyes were brown.
Anchorage:
"I HATE MONDAYS" shows that she didn't like Mondays because that would mean that the weekend is over. And it was what she verbally said.
I also added "argh" and "AHHH" to illustrate fustration. But theses where things that thought not said.
Throughout my animation I made sure to include thoughts and speech to my character.
Representation:
About: My character "Mikasa" is a 19 year old female student, she studies history art at university. She's parties on the weekend. She's originally from Tokyo, Japan. But is raised in London, UK. She's the only child in a family of 3 and her star sign is Capricorn. Mikasa is very social but she's also likes to stay at home and do nothing all day but watch anime and eat on her spare time, she's works twice on a week day and goes into her classes three times a week.
I wanted my character to be a teenager because I thought my ideas could relate to a teenage life, as I am my target audience as well.
Production process:
I enjoyed doing my animation because I enjoy drawing in my free time, before my production i held a mild amount of knowledge on Japanese manga but as i researched I learnt more and more. For my graphic narrative I only used pen, pencil and paper to create my manga, used some references as inspiration. Time management was an issue because I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what I wanted to do.
AUDIENCE FEEDBACK:
"I liked Faisa's manga because it was funny because I could relate to the characters feelings and situation" - Luana
I liked my audience feedback because it told me that my work was humourous which I liked because I wanted to make my audience laugh, and I'm also happy that my audience could relate to my character.

Health and safety U27
Health and Safety
During my production in the Animation Suite i made sure to tuck in all unnessary/nessary wires and cables to make sure they are not in harms way and to ensure people do not hurt themselves by tripping over them.
Sitting on the computer looking for references to help you with your designs may take all day which can affect your health, by sitting in a comftable chair that supports you back can reduce back injuries. Also sitting at a computer for long period of time can affect your eyes and head to avoid this make sure your taking a break every 30-45 mins to avoid straining your eyes or head. Last but not least drinking and eating any liquids can spill and cause the liquid to go inside the computer and electrocute you.

Production Context U27
For my production i wanted to do a Manga, Manga is a Japanese comic book usually aimed at adults and sometimes children. I have chosen this theme because i enjoy drawing as a hobby and watching anime so i thought that i would be really good at this because of the knowledge i already have.
Target audience and Considerations UNIT 27
Considerations:
For my animation production, I have found some references on google images that helped me design my character, all the images was copyright free and my animation was based on my own designs.
For my target audience, I have decided to target teenagers and young adults from 13 -30 because I think I could produce a good storyline and drawing if my target audience shared the same things like me. As a teenager, i watch a lot of anime and read manga in my spare time so this has given me an idea of what I would like to produce.

Animation Case Study
Origin of Phineas and Ferb
- Case Study
A "Phineas Flynn and his stepbrother, Ferb Fletcher, are determined to make every day of their summer vacation fun. They try building a full-scale roller coaster, becoming musicians, building a backyard beach, and traveling back in time to meet dinosaurs. Their family pet, Perry the Platypus, doubles as a secret agent and battles evil. Meanwhile, older sister Candace is tattling on them to Mom and Dad, though she can never seem to catch them in the act" - IMDB
Phineas and Ferb was a Disney channel TV show, the show had many theories about where the idea origin from. My two favourite Theories is the 'Dark side' and 'True story'.
Dark side
The Children Disney Channel TV show was believe to be about that the real Candace in the TV show lost her mind in reality due to bad things happening in her life, in this theory it was said that Phineas was her little brother who was bullied a lot in school because he was said to be 'Nerdy' but unfortunately one day the bully hit Phineas on the head really hard and killed him.
This resulted Candace not being able to deal with the Phineas death so she imagined a world where he was still alive and playing with her other brother Ferb, however Ferb has a disability where he can't talk and do much but they go on great adventures together.
Another thing to note is that the real reason why Candace mother couldn't see the things Phineas and Ferb built is that, well they simply aren't there. And the more Candace tries to convince her mother their there the more crazy she becomes, and the evil villain in the TV show 'Dr. Doofenshmirtz' was Candace psychologist who she sees twice a week. this later put a stain on the family so Candace mother tried to sell the stories Candace was telling her to Disney channel, and it work.
True Story?
This true story of Phineas and Ferb actually comes from a real person, a boy called Dan Povenmire where he built imaginary worlds. Dan Povenmire was an artistic prodigy that was obsessed with drawing cartoons, He spent his whole summer inventing elaborate drawings of cartoons and different stories he was imagining.
